Douglas County Existing Homes

There were 580 existing homes that went under contract in August, down 11 percent compared to July, and down 22 percent compared to the same month last year. The median sale price in August was $285,000, up about 7 percent compared to the same month last year.

Interesting to note, the number of homes for sale at the end of August was at the highest level in about 2 years.

Douglas County New Construction

Close to 60 new construction homes went under contract in August, which is down about 30 percent from last month but up about 16 percent compared to the same month last year. The median sale price in August was $450,000, up about 3.5 percent compared to the same month last year.
